1. Information We Collect

We collect and store only the minimum information necessary to run your travel planner, show recommendations, and facilitate itinerary sharing:

• Account Credentials: Your username, email address, and securely hashed password (meaning it can never be read in plain text by anyone).
• Your Travel Plans: Travel locations, activities, custom notes, visit times, planned durations, and external map links. We support saving and syncing multiple custom multi-day travel plans under your account.
• Shared Itinerary Suggestions: If you generate and share a link to your itinerary, any feedback, edit suggestions, or comments submitted by viewers are recorded and displayed on your planner.
• Travel Reviews & Spot Submissions: Ratings, detailed reviews, budget categories, travel styles, and amenities you voluntarily submit for travel spots, as well as any custom spots you suggest to be added to our public travel directory.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used strictly to provide and support the travel planning features of the website:

• To save, retrieve, sync, and manage your customized itineraries and checklist items.
• To process, review, and approve user-submitted travel locations to expand our public recommendations.
• To calculate and display aggregated review scores, budgets, and amenities to help other travelers.
• To present collaborative suggestions and comments from friends on your shared itineraries.
• To authenticate your login sessions and keep your account secure.

3. Cookies & Session Management

We use only essential session cookies to keep you securely logged in. These cookies are configured with industry-standard secure settings and do not track you across other websites or third-party services.

4. Data Security

We implement professional, industry-standard protocols to safeguard your personal data. All data transmissions are fully encrypted using secure HTTPS connections. Your passwords are encrypted with a one-way secure hash before storage, meaning they can never be read by anyone, including us.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

You have full, direct control over your data. You can add, edit, or delete any itinerary items directly inside the travel planner at any time. When you decide to permanently delete an entry, a saved planner, or your entire account, all associated data is permanently and immediately deleted. This includes your personal profile, saved planners, reviews, and viewer suggestions.

Note on Public Place Submissions: Travel locations suggested by users that have been approved and published to our public travel directory will remain online to help other travelers, but they will be fully anonymized and completely stripped of any connection to your deleted account.
